Yes, I’m sure you’ve been promised the best chocolate chip cookies multiple times, but I swear this recipe is the best I’ve ever had! They're quick and simple to make, and if you want you can modify it for any reason. Maybe add some peanut butter or a mix of three different kinds of chocolate. These definitely aren't the most healthy cookies, but they taste delicious. I made this recipe myself by combining the best parts of other recipes, so I hope you enjoy it! *Prep time of 15 mins, chill for 30, bake for 12*
Ingredients:
3 ¼ cups of All Purpose flour
1 ¼ teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 ½ cups brown sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 semi-sweet chocolate bar or ¾ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Steps
In a small/medium bowl, combine all of the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Then in a separate large bowl, combine the butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla.
Pour the dry ingredients into the wet, then add the chocolate or any other inclusions you want. Place the bowl in the fridge for 15-30 minutes; it's hard to wait, but the longer the better! Start preheating the oven to 365℉ five minutes before you take the dough out.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and start rolling balls out of the dough; make them whatever size you want, the cookies will flatten out as they bake. Place them in the oven for 10-12 minutes (they may need more or less time so watch closely until they are golden brown). After taking them out of the oven, I suggest letting them cool for at least 30 minutes, and sprinkling a bit of sea salt on each one! Enjoy!
I don't have a picture of them but they come out looking exactly like this!
