Warm, gooey, soft, and delicious. Did you guess it yet? If you didn’t, I am talking about the world’s best chocolate chip cookies! I have been using this exact recipe ever since I found out about it all the way back in second grade. Everyone in my family loves them and all my friends ask me to make these for them as well. I can guarantee if you follow these easy and quick steps, your family and friends won’t be able to get enough of them!
Ingredients:
⅔ cup (150ml) melted butter
2 cups brown sugar (lightly packed works as well)
2 eggs
2 tbsp hot water
2 ⅔ cup (650ml) white flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
1 package of chocolate chips (milk, dark, anything you want!)
Materials Needed:
Electric mixer (or big bowl)
Spatula
Cookie scooper (molder) -This is optional; you can use your hands or a spoon as well.
Tsp measures
Cup measures
Baking pans (2)
Cooling rack
Steps:
Preheat oven to 375℉
Prepare the baking sheets. Either place them right on the pan or place a sheet of parchment paper on first.
Set up your area, wash your hands, and get ready to bake!
In a mixer or bowl, beat together melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and hot water. Mix this well until everything is combined together.
As the mixer is mixing very slowly, or your hand is mixing slowly, stir in flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and your choice of chocolate chips. While adding in the flour, start to mix a bit quicker each time you pour some in.
I would recommend stirring everything up well together and then slowly fold in and mix the chocolate chips so you don't break them!
With a cookie scoop or spoon, drop about 1 tsp portions of the batter onto 2 baking pans
Place only one pan into the oven for 6 to 9 minutes (I usually do 9 minutes).
Once your first pan of cookies has come out of the oven, place the second tray into the oven. Allow the hot pan to cool for 7 minutes.
Transfer the fresh cookies to the cooling rack and start another tray with any leftover batter.
Allow your cookies to cool off completely on the cooling rack.
Last but not least, enjoy!
This recipe makes many cookies so all your friends and family will have lots to eat! It's a great treat for the holidays or just for when you want something sweet!
